Maarten Weyn

Professor at University of Antwerp

Maarten Weyn graduated as an industrial engineer electronics-ict and then obtained his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Antwerp. He is currently a full time professor at the University of Antwerp, vice-dean of research at the Faculty of Applied Engineering Sciences and deputy chairman of the Industrial Research Fund of the University of Antwerp. Maarten is also co-founder of the spin-offs Aloxy, CrowdScan, IoSa and AtSharp, and involved in the creation of the spin-offs 1OK and Viloc. He actively collaborated as a creator on the Canvas programme Team Scheire. Last but not least, he has passion for brewing beer,which has gotten slightly out of hand.
