Gerrie Smits

Gerrie Smits is a keynote speaker, moderator, writer and strategist. 25 years of experience in a broad range of industries have given him hands-on expertise in the realms of digital transformation and innovation. He’s driven by curiosity and is fascinated by the impact of tech on organisations, products, people and society. In 2018, he was silly enough to write a book on blockchain, called ‘‘Blockchain is WTF’.

Through his talks and workshops he has inspired and helped a variety of customers, ranging from FMCG corporates to AI start-ups and from government agencies to the World Chambers Congress.

Before he fell in love with technology, he wrote about music, made television, founded 2 agencies (during his 15 years in London) and worked as a civil servant.
