Chief Marketing Officer at Supercell
Fernanda Romano, a 20-year veteran of the consumer, creative, and innovation industries, has been part of the Leadership team of Supercell as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) since November 2023. Fernanda joined Supercell from King, where she also held the position of CMO. During her time there, Fernanda led the celebration of Candy Crush Saga’s 10th anniversary, launched several successful collaborations between Candy Crush and iconic global stars and brands such as Meghan Trainor, the Jonas Brothers, and the Barbie movie, and launched the first international All-Stars competition in 20+ countries, distributing USD 100,000 in prizes to the best Candy Crush players and championship rings designed by Icebox and coveted by Saweetie herself.
Prior to King, Fernanda was Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer at Alpargatas SA, the parent company of Havaianas, the world-renowned flip-flops brand. During her time there, Fernanda played a pivotal role in steering the company's transformation towards a tech and consumer-driven business, positioning the brand globally, pivoting to company-owned e-commerce operations, and launching collaborations with Mastermind Japan and BAPE. Under her leadership, Havaianas achieved record-breaking years, with the percentage of net sales originating from innovation more than tripling.
