Erica Caluwaerts

For more than 20 years Erica Caluwaerts worked as a criminal offence lawyer in the city of Antwerp where she pleaded fourteen assize trials. In 2022 she exchanged the court room for ‘Het Schoon Verdiep’ (The Beautiful Floor) at the Antwerp town hall. As an independent Alderwoman in the city council she’s responsible for the domains of economy, work, innovation, industry, digitalization, marketing and communications, public domain and lawsuits. As a Liberal, she strives for a city where every citizen - independent of background, ethnicity and gender identity - is able to create every opportunity for a successful future in the city of Antwerp.
