Dirk Lanens

Dirk Lanens is Director Antwerp Valorisation and Development at the University of Antwerp and responsible for strategic collaborations with industry and external public partners. Dirk obtained both his Master’s degree and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Antwerp and is an alumnus of the Executive MBA program (General Management Program) at the Harvard Business School. Prior to joining the University of Antwerp, he held several executive positions at FEI Company (now Thermo Fisher) and Perkin Elmer and managed the Semiconductor Supplier Hub and ecosystem at IMEC. Dirk’s experience spans international leadership roles where his responsibilities ranged from worldwide sales and service management to new business development, and strategic planning.
